There will be opportunities for large and small businesses including service and retail for the immediate and wider community.
It is envisioned Cockburn Central will include:
- A commercial development on Beeliar Drive.
- Main streets featuring retail such as cafes, a newsagent, travel agent, hairdressers, convenience store and day spa.
- A town square linking the railway station and bus interchange with the new community.
It is estimated Cockburn Central will comprise about 40,000 sqm of commercial and retail space, with 10,000 sqm of possible mixed use retail space.
The full development will provide around 1,000 homes when complete.
Stage 1 land at Cockburn Central has now been sold. Four Stage 2 superlots will be expected to be brought to the developer market mid-2012.
